Default Your session has expired. Login Time out

I just noticed that when I put items in the cart and then proceed to checkout
I get the Login Time out page saying:

    Whoops! Your session has expired.

I tried to log in again and then proceed to my cart. Cart is empty, so I put item in it again and check out. Again same loop... get the Login Time out page.

    What happened?

This happens on all my stores with this host. Worked up till last night. No changes on my side. Is this a server or SSL problem?
Live shop, urgent. Thank you for fast help.

Thank you for the link. Seems to apply somewhat.

I share my certificate from my main domain for all domains hosted under the same plan.

    http://www.mydanilo.com/
will have secure pages like this:
    https://duda-inc.com/mydanilo

This has worked like a charm up until yesterday. Now I try to narrow down where the problem lies. Host thought my cert is not working properly. So I did a test install directly into my main duda.com domain with the duda certificate.

    http://duda-inc.com/test/
    secure pages like this:
    https://duda-inc.com/test/admin/index.php

This setup works just fine. Check out now works, no problem with the cert.

It seems as long as the cart is in the same domain as the SSL, no problem.

The problem remains when the switch happens from
    http://www.mydanilo.com/
    to
    https://duda-inc.com/mydanilo
during check out, then I get:

    Whoops! Your session has expired.

Could somebody share if they had the same problem when sharing the cert? What was the solution? Can a host reset sessions?

Two things I noticed about duda-inc.com
    - very slow to load
    - SSL Cert expired 4/4/08

The first can be corrected by changing Hosters and the second by renewing your Cert.

Fixing the first problem is a personal decision but fixing the second is a must do. Then you might see the 'Time Out' problem go away. Or it could be related to your Hoster and you will have to switch.

BTW, nice job on the one page Login.

Slown because we are moving to a new server to see if it solves the problem.
Cers had to be reissued. Will be valid again later. Once dns propagates and move is complete, I will post again and see if I have the same problem.

Thank you for looking and helping.

Switching hosts is not always the best solution and in my opinion is one of the worse recommendations anyone could give.

He may go from one bad day to 5 bad weeks.

Any how seems this guy is in contact with his hosts and seems to be working closely with them.

You are right of course. No need to switch if your host is responsive and tries to resolve the problem. I will keep reporting how my issues resolve.

Problem is solved. We had to move each of my stores into a separate hosting account with separate IP and Certificate.

Before, I was sharing the certificate of my corporate domain for all my add on domains. This was no longer working since the cpanel was updated.

Now https and http runs under the same domain.

I don't know if this problem would occur with all Zen approved hosts but it seems very likely if they keep their servers updated.

More about sharing the certificate the way I used to here:

    Hello mydanilo,

I have one problem that I am using epay payment gateway they guys just telling us they need there ssl encrytion on the checkout_payment page of our websites , page where customer enter their CC info.

    the url is [relay-server-url][your-own-website-url]

    https://relay.ditonlinebetalingssyst.../v2/relay.cgi/mywebsite.dk/index.php?main_page=checkout_payment

but when I do so I'll be redirected to timeout page
    mywebsite.dk/index.php?main_page=time_out

Please note here my website domain and epay domain are on different servers.

So, is there any way that after submitting checkout_shipping page I'll be redirected to checkout_payment page instead of time_out page.

    Thx
