Before I Give Up

Please Help!!!!!Hi everybody...I am about to throw in the towel unless someone can save me. I am somewhat a newbie. I have been trying since January to get my fragrance store up and running...I have had no success. I am not a programmer but I am computer literate so I thought i could handle it. I have installed easy populate becasue I have over 5000 products that i need download along with their images. I was able to upload my products. However, I couldn't get the prices to show up...then when I got the prices to show I couldn't get all the images to show. I downloaded image handler2 and it did not correct the problem. Some of my products would show...then some had x place markers. Totally frustrated...I have deleted everything. Is Zen too difficult for me...is here any other options ...other software...or a sample fragrance site that is workign that I can edit....please help me!!!! Desparately seeking to be Zenned!!!!!!

You did not expand on what you found you were not doing to get the prices to show.

As you have some images displaying and some not I assume that you have used FTP to upload the images.

Computers are very specific as to naming and .jpg and .JPG are not read as the same nor any discrepancies in the actual name.

I suspect that you have some item that does not match up

Thank you so much for responding........I don't know what I did but I reinstalled everything...and the prices showed up but the pictures didn't. So you are saying that when reading my image files it's case sensitve...because i did notice that some file had .jpg and others had .JPG.....if that's the case is there a bulk way you can rename the image files...i hgave opver 5000 images

If you have SSH access you can use the cmd interface to rename them or locally on your PC you can use the cmd window to rename the local copies and FTP them up to your server. This just uses either standard Linux or win/dos cmd syntax.

There is not a Zen Cart mass renamer function

you can also try http://www.123renamer.com/ they have 20day trial on the software, I just used it on a site with 9,000 images files that needed to be renamed

A bit over kill when you can use this in a cmd window

ren path/images/*.JPG path/images/*.jpg

Ok...I renamed all the image files...uploaded them and now none of my pictures are showing up. Could someone take a peak for me and see if they can come up with what I'm doing wrong...thanks in advance

The properties say not found on this server, have you uploaded them to the correct place?
