Default Some challenges adapting certain mods for my Canadian store

I hope that I'll be corrected here, but after getting revved up to do a major rebuild on my store I'm hitting some major project-stoppers.

It doesn't seem like a good time to be a Canadian Zen-Cart retail shop who has plans to launch a proper wholesale program.

    1) Dual Pricing module & Canada Post module - great on their own, but a match made in hell. Both modules have it out for each other since they both modify handful of the same not so straight forward files.

    2) UPS shipping - unless you want to use v1.3.6 with UPS_xml, then getting real time rates with UPS is out as a Canadian store. The built in plug in doesn't work for any store with a postal code originating from outside the US, and UPS_xml doesn't work with 1.3.8 (but it looks like it could if someone was clever enough.)

If anyone knows of workarounds and solutions I would be interested to discuss.

At least for this, if you're using a Windows PC, get Free winmerge and concantenate the files that are altered by both

To merge the two modules is certainly above my technical ability, and I'm sure the other store owners in this situation would say the same thing about themselves. If it were simply a matter of squashing the files together that would be one thing, but to do it successfully you have to be able to preserve the aspects of each module.

Again if anyone has found a workaround on this I'm all ears.
