paypal express taking SIX pages in order for me to checkout!

Okay so I got Paypal Express Checkout working...but it takes SIX pages to checkout. It goes through all the motions on my site, through two pages on paypal's site, and then goes through ALL the motions on my site again before finally working. Any suggestions? Here are the screenshots in order...

paypal reviewing your information



then takes you back to step 1 of shopping cart



step two of the shopping cart



the third step of the shopping cart, and the SIXTH page in the process?



Any suggestions yall have would be wonderful. I just read something about turning off gift certificates maybe? What does that entail? Where would I do that at?
