Sidebox Issue

I have disabled right sideboxes from everything except the home page using

$flag_disable_right = true;
 
 if ($current_page_base == 'index') {
   $flag_disable_right = false; 

For some reason the right sideboxes still show up on the category page

Can someone please take a look.
