EZ Populate?

Hi
Having spent 2 months uploading all 1300 lines of stock into my zencart store and it now being live, with great success, I am keen to find a MUCH easier way to update my stock quantities (this is the main issue I am having) regularly.
I have just started reading the tutorial and I believe that getting to grips with this Easy populate will help me achieve this.
Can you please advise if I am heading on the right lines, before I spend lots of time getting to grips with the whole system and rearranging all my files to suit?

Make sure you do it on a local machine first so that you become aqainted with it.

Then once you are familiar with it and get the addon onto you live shop - EXPORT (download) the data file from your live shop since you have so many things already there.

Then you just make the changes that you need on the excel sheet and then reload onto your live shop = simple, simple, simple.

I'm also looking at the shipping part of it - I might be having a conflict with the Canada Post Shipping Modules vs EZ - the topic is currently unanswered but I only put it on about 1 hour ago

I can see I am going to need to dedicate a few hours to sorting this out without being distracted by all the other bits and pieces I am trying to juggle but it seems it will be worthwhile... bloody brilliant
