Sort Drop Down

I have read all through this thread and as a non coder it is very difficult for me to understand how to change that drop down menu. I managed to get the names themselves to change but couldn't get those new buttons to direct to the right place. Rbarbour you have been giving great directions. Could you help me from the beginning?
