I just started selling T-Shirts. {Never had to mess with this stuff in the past, so need some guidance here }
Lets call my example product "Moon Shirt".
Moon Shirt comes in sizes Med, Large, XL, and XXL. Each size is assigned it's own stock number ie: moonshirtm, moonshirtl, moonshirtxl... etc.....
I don't want 5 individual products in my store for just the style "Moon Shirt"
So far, I have set the Shirt up as "one product" with the drop-down to choose the size you want. (I know how to do the option name, option value, assign a price.... etc....)
(TRUST me, it took a few hours to set up the option names for each shirt, and option values for each size and then add the model number to it for every shirt I stock.)
My question: Let's say I run out of Size Medium for my Moon Shirt. Is there a way to automatically disable that size, by entering 0 amount in stock for the stock number assigned to the Medium Shirt, so it's not an ordering option when it's sold out? Or some other way to not allow a size to be sold when I am out of stock for it? Am I being clear ? LOL
OR, is there a better way to set up my T-Shirts listings so out of stock sizes won't show up as a choice?
{I just think it looks tacky to have 5 individual products, showing the same exact image when the only difference is size. Seems like a cheap way to inflate the number of products offered }
Thanks in advance for any help offered,
Kathleen
