Can I book appointments?

Hello everyone!
I'm completely new to Zen Cart so apologies in advance if this is a silly question. I'm currently setting up a site to allow visitors to book and pay for appointments to a visitors center.

For example, perhaps some one wants to book 2 adults and 4 children for 1pm on the 18th September.... that would be £10 per adult and £5 per child, total cost £40.

Is that something I can achieve with Zen Cart? Or can I only use Zen Cart to sell an 'item' like a book or a CD?

Any suggestions and advice would be much appreciated!

Hi Michael,
You could make each time period a product which is priced by attribute. Then use the stock setting in the admin to control the ability to order a time period. IN other words if each appointment is for a one hour block you could create 8 products for each day. 8-9, 9-10, 10-11,11-12,12-1.... and set the stock level to 1. Have it subtract stock when an order is placed. To handle the pricing, set up option names for Number of adults and Number of children. Then set up option values for 1,2,3... and set the price for each value. Each day could be a category with the time periods in it. Just create categories as far out as you want to book and copy the time period products to easily replicate them. It's a bit of work but should address your requirement.
