Payment page not showing up

Hi

I am using the classic template & zen cart V1.5.1.

Paypal express is working OK except when I set "gift coupons" the payment page does not show up so people cannot enter their code?
I tried setting the option
"Express Checkout: Skip Payment Page
No"

but the payment page still does not show up?

I did a search but did not find a similar issue; I did find the opposite - people who had the payment page showing up & wanted to stop it.

If I cancel the express checkout without completing then I go to the payment page - which is logical I suppose.

I ran the debug log see below - advice would be much appreciated

Forgot to say I did check the zen cart error logs but there was no logs today.

Ah, silly me - I thought the payment page showed up before the paypal login; but it shows up after the login.
I checked & this works OK.

I found this explanation
"If you go to PayPal by clicking the "Express" button in the shopping_cart screen, then you'll see that the button on the PayPal side says "Continue", and you'll be returned to select shipping options (if you don't have it set to skip shipping by selecting cheapest automatically), and then taken to the payment/coupons page (unless you have the coupons Order Total module Removed and the Gift Certificates module removed). There you can enter the coupon code. Then you'll see your store's order-confirmation screen, where you confirm the order and payment is completed just by clicking the Confirm button there in your store."

Yes problem resolved or to put it another way "dumb administrator put right"

It would be good if people could enter the discount before the paypal login but I see from a Google search that this is a common grumble with Paypal express.

It would be good if people could enter the discount before the paypal login but I see from a Google search that this is a common grumble with Paypal express.

So, you could help the customer by telling them when they can apply their discount at and before the applicable times. Or alternatively could require them to go through the account creation portion manually to then pay with paypal after already applying the discount. (Obviously that option is still available if the customer chooses to login first and then pay, but it could be forced on the guest as well.

I have put an explanation of this process on the shopping cart page where people have the option to select PayPal express.
