Oxford Dark Template Support Thread

Hi Anne

I have two tiny questions and I'm hopeful you can point me in the right direction. I posted on your Facebook Page and noted that when I did so, by adding my url it still comes up with Oxford Dark in the description. https://www.facebook.com/Custom.Zen.Cart.Design (Nicola Pitt)

Can you point me in the direction of where I need to find the meta tags I obviously need to amend. I found all the ones for the header etc., and thought that might be the end of it... but obviously not.

Also I have been through the how to's, used the search facility here... found the places to rename page 2, page 3 etc in the readme files, but for some reason, they won't change. I've saved them in the oxford_dark files as described, but I'm (again) obviously missing some small setting. Any help is appreciated.

Cool managed to fix the define bit with some help... but don't understand the problem with Facebook showing the wrong info. This is what is coming up...

Always pays to search the thread.. going back just TWO pages, and you'll find the post quoted below..

If you are referring to the title in the browser bar, you can edit the includes/languages/english/oxford_dark/meta_tags.php file.

If you want to make css changes to the template, it is good advice to use firebug or the firefox web developer tools. They will help you to find the line in the css file that you need to edit to make your changes.

My guess is that you are not editing or saving the override file in includes/languages/english/oxford_dark/meta_tags.php

I went in and checked and I'd made the requisite changes there...

define('TITLE', 'Love Books Australia');

// Site Tagline
define('SITE_TAGLINE', 'Where Adventure Lies In The Pages Of A Book');

// Custom Keywords
define('CUSTOM_KEYWORDS', 'ecommerce, open source, shop, online shopping');

// Home Page Only:
define('HOME_PAGE_META_DESCRIPTION', '');
define('HOME_PAGE_META_KEYWORDS', '');

// NOTE: If HOME_PAGE_TITLE is left blank (default) then TITLE and SITE_TAGLINE will be used instead.

So now I'm utterly confused

Any other suggestions... I've trawled this thread and the meta data ones but so far can't see anything that might fix it :)

You need to make sure that you are saving your changes to the override includes/languages/english/oxford_dark/meta_tags.php. If you are changing the file locally and uploading to your server, be sure that the file is overwriting what is on your server.

I'm amending at the server level (I know I shouldn't...) but I've amended both files so I'm thoroughly confused I'll keep on hunting and come back again if I have no joy. Thanks for the advice

Hello Anne. I am just wondering if you offer an xml feed service as i have access to the feed from my supplier but dont know how to implement it. I have searched zen forums and else where and dont really understand how i can have a live product feed to my site www.cheekyfems.com.au.

She does have a module that may help you but to see it you will need to go to here

You will then get the proper page with info and pricing.
