Which page or pages do I need to compare to restore ‘Upcoming Products’ to its proper place?
It was fine in ZC 2.0 beta versions.

It's difficult to tell what's going on without a link to the site; is one available? If it's a site under construction and you don't (yet) want it to be quickly found by search engines, specific the site's URL as https://mysite(dot)com.
I was hoping that others experienced this since ZC 1.3. Alas, no. Only touched the css colors page.
Layout is fine in mobile and the ZC classic money green. I’m using the responsive template in v2.0 GuestHouseExotics[dot[com
Blank Side Box was missing after the clean install. Don’t remember using it. That plugin is no longer found so I cannot undo.
I bet it’s the Blank Side Box

It's /includes/templates/template_default/templates/tpl_modules_upcoming_products.php. Change this section
to readCode:<fieldset> <legend><?php echo TABLE_HEADING_UPCOMING_PRODUCTS; ?></legend> <table id="upcomingProductsTable"> <caption><?php echo CAPTION_UPCOMING_PRODUCTS; ?></caption>
Code:<fieldset id="upcoming-products" class="clearBoth"> <legend><?php echo TABLE_HEADING_UPCOMING_PRODUCTS; ?></legend> <table id="upcomingProductsTable"> <caption><?php echo CAPTION_UPCOMING_PRODUCTS; ?></caption>
Fixed and I like that you noted it in GitHub.
Made a donation. May not go far at tiffany’s but it's a start.

Looks good!
Now, if you change the #navCatTabsWrapper to background: #336500, you'll meet accessibility for color contrast on the wrapper.
Also, not caught by automatic checkers but the navCatTabs li a:hover should be #333333 versus #66666 for the background-color.
