Ok, after I submitted my sitemap to google. I get this message today:

    Discovered - currently not indexed
These pages aren't indexed or served on Google

Does anyone know what this mean?

    Google knows - https://www.google.com/search?q=Disc...ly+not+indexed

Do you have a Search Console account? That might give some clues.

Now, Bing.com wants me to do this:

    1. Download the file BingSiteAuth.xml
    2. Upload the file to root directory of your site https://galaxyhomedecor.us/sitemap.xml

Do I need to do this?

Need to? No. You don't need to do anything. But they use it to verify you own the site, so it's a good idea.

I had to resubmit the sitemap.

So bing discovered the sitemap no problem.

Now the crawl is giving me this:

The inspected URL is known to Bing but has some issues which are preventing indexation. We recommend you to follow Bing Webmaster Guidelines to increase your chances of indexation.

You will need to do as google requests to prove you are the owner etc.
Easist way id probably the html file.
If you add the supplied file to your webserver google will know you have full access etc. Else you could set this up on your competitors website to see what is going on!

Well, according to google some or most pages fail because of this "Alternate page with proper canonical tag". How can I fix this?

Making sure your SSL, and your ultimate URL match should take care of it.

If your SSL is set for www.yoursite.com, all URLs should be redirected to wind up at www.yoursite.com.

A 301 can be done in cPanel or equivalent controllers or added to your root's .htaccess file.

All e-commerce sites should be forced to https://. That can be done in cPanel or .htaccess as well. Of course, both configure.php files should be set for https:// as well.

Google and other SEs look at the following sites as duplicates:

    www.yoursite.com
    yoursite.com
test.yoursite.com (if the same data from your main site is located there for testing)

There are ways of letting Google and the other SEs know that test.yoursite.com is not a duplicate but that's another story.

I am not using ultimate URL. Should I use it? Also, the site is directing to https://yourdomain.com instead of https://www.yourdomain.com
