    tpl_modules_product_listing.php

    I am trying to copy...

    includes/templates/templates/tpl_modules_product_listing.php

    ...to...

    includes/templates/_custom_/templates/tpl_modules_product_listing.php

    ... in order to overrride it. When I do the product listing stops working. No error, just no content. As soon as I delete the override file it starts working again.

    Zen Cart v 1.3.0.1

    Any clues or am I doing something obviously wrong?

    What did you change in the file?

    Nothing... It is a direct copy from the template_default/templates/ folder

    Switch back to the Classic template for a minute and add a templates/tpl_modules_product_listing.php to it and then check the page. Working or blank?

    BTW- if you haven't made any changes, why are you copying the file?

    I switched to Classic and the problem is the same. as soon as I upload the "tpl_modules_product_listing.php" into the templates/classic/templates/ folder, everything below the heading disappears.

    ie. the source code ends...

    <!-- eof breadcrumb -->
    <div class="centerColumn" id="indexProductList">
    <h1 id="productListHeading">Organic Sauces & Stock

    It does not execute the footer file or anything.

    I do want to change some stuff I just can't at the moment because as soon as I upload the override it stops working.

    What are you using to upload files to your site? Could it be garbling things?

    Dreamweaver / Filezilla combination...

    The files look fine when I download them again.

    is your custom template's name really "_custom_" ?

    Not that it matters, but if you rename it to something without underscores like maybe "krinkle", does that change anything?

    I'd be surprised if it did, but the name would be more meaningful too...

    To restate Kim's question - why are you copying this file to your override folder if it has no changes?

    Presuming you plan to edit it - you might unpack the zip of the latest version and copy a clean file, in case it was corrupted somehow. Then triple-check that you have it in the correct folder.

    Also, do you have other files edited? How do they work?
