    Products Price Manager question

I've looked and looked but can't seem to find this same question regarding attributes. In the Products Price manager is a yes/no question Qty Min/Unit Mix. Can anyone tell me what that is really asking and what it affects?

    Thanks in advance.

When Products are purchased... you can setup a minimum quantity and a maximum quantity as well as the units that they must be ordered in ...

    * Minimum - the minimum number that you can buy for the product (Default = 1)
    * Maximum - the Maximum number that you can buy for the product (Default = 0-Unlimited)
    * Units - the increment qty that you must buy the product (Default = 1)

If you make it so that the minimum quantity was 12 but had to be ordered in units of 3, then the allowed quantities would be:

    12, 15, 18, 21, etc.

These have nothing to do with product quantity "In Stock". ... Inventory On Hand (Stock) is handled by the "Product Quantity" field elsewhere on the same screen.

The Minimum, Maximum and Units are not prices ...

These are the quantity controls on how a Product can be purchased ...

The Product Price is set where it read:
    Products Price (Net):

The defaults on the Minimum, Maximum and Units are:
    Product Qty Minimum: 1
Product Qty Maximum: 0 = Unlimited, 1 = No Qty Boxes
    Product Qty Units: 1

Unless you want to force the customer to buy in various quantities ... these should be left at the default values ...
