added Google Acceptance logo -- busted site validation

Hi!

I added a Google Acceptance logo found here:

The only problem when I add the following code to show in a sidebox my website doesnt validate anymore. Here's the code:

Here's the failed validation error:

The element named above was found in a context where it is not allowed. This could mean that you have incorrectly nested elements -- such as a "style" element in the "body" section instead of inside "head" -- or two elements that overlap (which is not allowed).

One common cause for this error is the use of XHTML syntax in HTML documents. Due to HTML's rules of implicitly closed elements, this error can create cascading effects. For instance, using XHTML's "self-closing" tags for "meta" and "link" in the "head" section of a HTML document may cause the parser to infer the end of the "head" section and the beginning of the "body" section (where "link" and "meta" are not allowed; hence the reported error).

I konw the problem is with this line: <link rel="stylesheet" href="https://checkout.google.com/seller/accept/s.css"

But I dont know how to fix it. Can someone please point me in the right direction. I have spent hour searching and am at a dead end.

You have to link stylesheets in the <HEAD> section. Linking them elsewhere is contrary to XHTML specs.

You could create an override file for html_header.php and add the stylesheet link there.

Moving this part of your discussion to a separate thread since it's not directly related to the checkout module.
