free shipping for existing customers in 1.3.5

am trying to get free shipping for all orders of existing customers, Is this easily done, or anyone have a solution?

Could you expand on what exactly you mean by Free Shipping for ALL orders for existing customers?

Do you mean enable free shipping to show when all other shipping modules show?

Do you mean offer free shipping to returning customers only but not to customers on their first order?

Do you mean free shipping on some products?

What do you think you really mean?

sorry my bad,

I currently soley use the paypal module for everything.
basically customers registered before a certain date (eg today) will ideally be able to check a free shipping offer box and the cost will be removed before being sent to the paypal module thing

this means that all customers registered prior to the specified date will have free shipping on all products on all orders until the offer finishes

So you want to base Free Shipping on whether or not a customer has made a previous order prior to a given date ... correct?

I would probably do a bulk e-mail out to all your customers with a gift certificate code they can type in at checkout . , that way all your current customers will get it , new ones won't !

NOTE: Gift Certificates are Cash and last forever ...

Discount Coupons are able to be set to an amount -- OR -- free shipping and can be set for a given time period ...
