switching between templates

Okay, my website is currently using the sky_blue template but I would like to switch to the silverfish template as it seems a bit more professional. What files will I need to update change to still have the same logo and header and to keep what I've already typed out for my index page the same. I don't have a lot of knowledge in this so please give simple precise instructions for me.

Yes, I know that those tutorials and faq's exist and have looked at them, but really my question is very simple, I tried uploading the template to my server, which worked fine, then I attempted to change the template in my admin area, but my logo, header, etc did not show up. What did I do wrong?

You probably forgot to copy the logo, and the header images from -

/includes/templates/<SKYBLUE>/images/

to

/includes/templates/<SILVERFISH>/images/
