wholesale set up/public views

Hi,

I am looking to find the best way to do the following for our family wholesale business.

Would like all customers/guest to see the main page/EZ pages etc but only have authorised wholesale customers to see the products and prices.

If I set the shop status to must login to browse (1) and also set approval to must be authorised to browse then the website is configured to only see the login page and no one can see the about us pages etc.

I would like all information sideboxes and main page displayed to all but to hide all the products/categories from view from the public and only allow authorised wholesale customers to view the products and prices.

The reason for this is that we still want to promote the business but do not want to let the competition see what we have in stock.

Can anyone help on this one?

I have been thinking about the same thing. I think i will add a second store named Wholesale and then create a link with login required on first page. Hopefully someone else will respond with a better idea.

Many thanks for the suggestion. I think this maybe the only way to ensure it looks exactly the same. I have seen some other carts set up that have created the 'home page' in front page and then link to ZC but you can def tell the difference styles.

Has anyone found an easier way to do this?
We are currently running the 2 ZC on the domain but just wondered if there is a better way before doing an upgrade and revamp the site.
Ideally just want the homepage to be about us and a few ezy pages (no catergories/product details) and then login is only for approved wholesale customers who can view everything.

Admin > Configuration > Customer Details

Customer Shop Status - View Shop and Prices
Customer Approval Status - Authorization Pending


Using a combination of the above might provide what you are looking for.

Many thanks for the suggestion, Im currently using 1.3.7 and none of the config options give what we are after. Will prob just stick with the 2 ZC on the one domain
