Default store replication to another site

    Hi,

I'd like to run an additional ZC installation at a separate site in case the main site goes down.

Does anyone has info on how to achieve that setup or any recommendationst/tips to share for it?

I've a dedicated Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 server at each site and a good sysadmin experience.

    Thanks.

Default Re: store replication to another site

Replicating the cart is straightforward. There's a FAQ entry about moving which is equally applicable to replicating.

The challenge is more in how you mirror the database. This could be manual using the "Backup MySQL database" add-in and trasferring the files from one site admin/backup directory and restoring them. But I suspect that with your sysAdmin experience you'll come up with something better CRON-based and automated. Hopefully you'll pop back here to tell us about it.
