Remove Home from breadcrumb

Hello:

I know there are a lot of topics on breadcrumbs, but I can't find what I want to do.

I do not want to remove the breadcrumb, I only want to remove the HOME link from it.

Is there an easy way to do this?

But assuming you're using version 1.3.7.1, try this:

For Version 1.3.7 the code to turn off the breadcrumb on the home page is already there by default; you only have to select an option in admin -> configuration -> layout settings -> define breadcrumb status - off, on, off on home page only

Maybe I wasn't clear in what I wanted to do. I don't want to remove the breadcrumb from the home page, I want to remove the HOME link from ALL breadcrumbs, like so:

change:

Home > Tops > Alexander Wang - Aqua Shirt

to

Tops > Alexander Wang - Aqua Shirt

Hmmm,
That's exactly what I want to do. The site has a very shallow navigation => just 1 category, 1 level of sub category & then products. Like so

artists >artist >painting

Having a breadcrumb such as home > artists > artist > painting is overkill the client says.

What he wants is just the existing location displayed - so artist or painting or Contact Us.

Any suggestions?

Just a reminder, keep as many links as you can on your site. If customers can't find links easy, they'll leave. Here I mention the 'Home' link... For some reason people are always looking for a 'Home' link!

Secondly, someone mention artists > artist > whatever isn't making sense. Rather design your categories like artists > fine art > Van Gogh...
