my main page index.html appearing above the categories!!! please help

hi everyone,

when you click on categories on my website, the main page, index.html is displayed above the categories. you have to scroll down in order to find the subcategories. i tried restoring my database, but still get this issue.

when you open any product, it is displayed correctly. for some reason only the home page appears on top of all subcategories?????

does any one have a clue why this is happenning?

Hi Josh,

The first thing to do is to switch to the classic template and see if the problem goes away. If so then it is an issue with one of your template overrides.

Also check the contents of your define_main_page.php file as there are some extra body and html tags coming from somewhere.

I have the same issue of my index html info appearing on the categories pages...

OK I have noticed that this is only on the categories which have subcategories.

I have gone through my settings and configuration incase it is in there and nothing.

I have someone double checking for me right now.

I am running 1.3.8 if that helps.
