They should be able to knock you up another one if you ask nicely if they havent used the www. part of your domain.

Good luck. If you get stuck again, you know where I am.

I am getting quite good at this SSL lark at the mo, just another 8 to do at the mo

Double check with hostmonster about what goes after the ~ but I would guess that you would leave the "and" out, just ~username

This would be true for both the Admin configure.php and the catalog configure.php

    Need further ssl install help.
In looking further, I am seeing that I need to change permissions??? I changed the permissions on my configure.php and admin/configure.php then installed ssl and then when back and changed it back to read only. However, when I go to my website, it is all broken up and is definitely not right.
    WHAT AM I DOING WRONG????

Please help. Been working on this far too long.
    Thank You
    Sandy

Wow, I actually got the ssl to load. My log in and payment is secure. I am doing good! Now if I can just get the paypal to send an e-mail to my inbox that I have a new order, I will be really ecstatic.
    My url is www.bubbleshirtsetc.com

Strange things have been happening since I included my hosts shared certificate. I use Hostmonster, 1.3.8 Zen cart, latest versions of firefox and safari on mac OS X.
I t seems to work sometimes... Sometimes I have to refresh the page a couple of times—which if I was a customer I wouldn't do. I believe the ssl is configured right—it works most of the time (although slow)

Also, sometimes the font size increases randomly on the log on page—Sometimes...

Do I need an dedicated IP and my own certificate?

    www.feenx.com

    Thanks,
    Phil

Solution path I chose was to get my own ssl certificate and dedicated IP. www.feenx.com

Solved all the wonky issues including font size changes, not properly loading, slow speed page conversion. My guess is that there is some issue with the the code from hostmonster(http://secure.hostmaster.com~username) maybe zen cart doesn't like the "~", I know I wouldn't, the shared certificate, and the undedicated IP.

Unfortunately, it's now costing an additional $70 per year.

Hi, I've been trying to enable SSL on my site, and i think i did good on the first part includes/config.php ad i actually got the checkout to go to https, but my problem is that in my admin area includes, there is no config.php, how is this possible, could i have deleted it earlier without knowing and is this a problem, does it mean that only my admin area is not secure now?

I have followed all of the tutorials dealing with the shared SSL config and had my host help me with the correct path and it is on their side that the problem is arising. Once it is in place the log in/checkout portions become dead links and they go nowhere. I put in a trouble ticket and pasted the body of the ticket below put in by the host rep on my behalf:
"when you try to log on you get sent to the following URL: https://secure.hostmonster.com/~user...&id=xxxxxxxxxx when I saw this I, changed it to: https://secure.hostmonster.com/~user...d=xxxxxxxxxxxx and then it works. We need to change the page request to go to the other location."

no one has been assigned to my ticket yet it's been 24 hours and I can not move forward without being able to have ssl for my customers.
note: no link is provided to the site I just need to know if anyone has had or seen this problem and if they know of a fix for it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you in advance

    under /includes/configure.php

    I tried to change

// Use secure webserver for checkout procedure?
    define('ENABLE_SSL', 'false');

    to true

It didn't work. I can't see my storefront. so I tried to change it back and still get a broken page.
