    Default Cant use specials

    I can't use my specials. I have tried reinstalling but nothing seems to work, all I get is a blank page. What could be wrong? I am using version 1.3.7

    help Please

    There are currently no specials active so we can't see the blank page you're getting.

    Try the debug utility here.

    Just my point I have no specials because I can't list them. this all happen after I used easy populate. I was able to delete all the specials I had, thinking it was a bad record, but this didn't bring back my use of specials. I have tried to get it to work from all pages but still it won't work. I also just found out my featured Item will not install.

    Do your imported products have master_categories_id set in them to anything besides 0? You can check this via phpMyAdmin and browse the products table ...

    Do you use Linked Products? IF not, you can fix the missing master_categories_id in the Tools ... Store Manager ...
    Reset ALL Products Master Categories ID
    to be used for Linked Products and Pricing:
    Then run the reset on the products_price_sorter following that:
    Update ALL Products Price Sorter
    to be able to sort by displayed prices:

    I got a server error when I tried both suggestions I did it several times until it got them to work but I still have the same problem.

    Could you be any more specific about the error you recieved?

    How many Products do you have right now?

    Does you page load at all for Catalog ... Specials ...

    How about for Catalog ... Featured Products ...

    I tried the debug PHP, but it did not record any errors. If I got an error message of any kind it would be easier to figure this out.
    I have 14003 products. The page dose load from catalog -> specials; I have two buttons for new product, but when I go to use them I get a blank page. I should get a list of products, like I used to get. Also the price box and the 2 date boxes are missing along with the insert and cancel button, the only thing on the page is the Search box. The rest is blank. I have the same setup backed up on my computer that I can access via localhost. the only thing my backup dose not have is the backup MySQL data base as I have not figured out how to tie the database to my backup. It would be informative to see if the same thing happens.
    Anyway Catalog-> Featured Products is doing the same thing, that it is not working either and presents the same blank page as specials.

    Imagine having a 14003 dropdown for your Product names ...

    Imagine trying to download that to your computer from your server when you hit new ...

    Peek on the right and you will see a button for:
    SELECT
    Product ID to be Manually Added as a Special

    This is for sites too large to use a dropdown ...

    Try adding a products_id there and see if you can add a special that way ...
