Upgraded to PHP5 and now can't login

I upgraded the server to PHP5 but now I can't login to my admin area... when trying to load the login page it tells me I have an infinite loop.. I had the same problem with osCommerce and PHP5 but turning on the php var register_long_arrays took care of it...

not doing the trick in this case..

any help appreciated.

What version of Zen Cart are you using?

I use 1.3.7

Either upgrade to 1.3.8a or grab and apply patches for 1.3.7

Which patches... reason i didn't upgrade is because I have a couple of contributions installed.. I only need the store to be functional for a couple more days until I can get this magento runnin.. then i'll be switching stores anyways..

Exactly, what do you mean by "cant login"?
I used to run 1.3.7 on php5 with no problem btw.

Siegel, was this a fresh install or an upgrade?

if its an upgrade replace includes/functions/session.php

My problem is not with loggin in but with the login page loading in admin. I've seen similar issues in other threads, but none of the solutions have worked for me.

I'm using 1.3.8 on shared linux server, and I just updated my php from 4 to 5 yesterday. I had a couple of coding-related issues with the front end that I was able to troubleshoot using the debug error logging utility, but with admin, the login page won't load - only an error page stating that the server is redirecting in an infinite loop...
