Which Shipping Module Would Work?

Hello,
I would like to set up different zones according to zip code (1st three numbers of zip code only). Then I would like to be able to charge shipping rates according to which zone the customer is having the items shipped.

The rates for shipping would also need to be determined by how much the customer is ordering. Here is an example:

Customer is shipping items to zone 3 (zip codes starting with 863-864, 889-891, 936-939). Customer's order is between $30 & $499.99 so the shipping charge would be 17% for ground, 19% for PO Box or 65% for a Rush order.

Same as above but the order is over $500 so the shipping would be 8% for ground, 19% for PO Box or 60% for a Rush order.

So basically I need to be able to configure the shipping module for zones according to zip codes, be able to then configure the shipping rates for each zone based on a percentage of the customer total - for basic ground, Rush, etc.

I found the shipping module that will work. It's from the collection of modules by Ceon on his website called Advanced Shipper.

What other post is that? I would like a shipping module like FatGuyinAZ is talking about. Is there any module in the zen downloads that will accomplish what FatGuyinAZ is talking about, or one that can be modified to do it. Thank you

That is correct. However, my other post was well over 8 months ago ... so I figured it was time to ask again.

I have installed the latest release of Region Tables. I have 8 regions setup with all my US zip codes identified as follows:

Region 1 - US:900-908,US:910-918,US:919-921,US:922-928,US:930-935
Region 2 - US:863-864,US:889-891,US:936-939

and so on. My shipping I was hoping I could setup like this:

0:$10, 100:10%

Calculation Method = Price.
For $0.00 $99.99 the rate would be $10
For anything over $100 the rate would be 10% of sub-total. This method seems to work in the MZMT shipping module and I was hoping it worked here. Does anyone know how to add percentage of total to shipping for the Region Tables mod? Or is there another mod that would work better for this and 8 regions (or zones) too?

Any help is appreciated.

Hi,

This is a feature a few people have asked for, along with many others.

Subsequently we are developing a replacement for Region Tables called "Advanced Shipper" which we hope to release soon. (It's much more flexible than the Region Tables module and there'll be no need to mess with language defines any longer as the titles can be specified alongside the options for a region/method through the completely new admin system! )

Development is taking a lot longer than expected but we're aiming to release within the next week or so.

More info will be posted here as it becomes available! ;)

Ajeh Is there any way one of the other Modules can be modified to do what FatGuyinAZ is talking about. I know you are the one to ask and have a lot of knowledge in this kind of stuff. Thank you
