No Shipping

I don't have products that are shipped. How do I get rid of any mention of shipping, including losing the "Estimate Shipping" button in the Shopping Cart?

Thanks, Linda, for your reply. The products are mostly downloads.

I was able to get rid of the "Estimate Shipping" button in my Shopping Cart (for others, you can turn off the shipping estimator button from the Admin Panel: Configuration > Shipping/Packaging > Shipping Estimator Display Settings for Shopping Cart).

Perhaps I'm doing alright now, but it seems likely to me that some other shipping thing will turn up. Is there a way to get rid of any mention of shipping?

Downloads, when setup correctly, will never show the checkout_shipping page ...

What kind of looks neat on the display is to have the Shipping Estimator display on the Shopping Cart rather than be a button ... try it as it is a neat look ...

Drawback ... when USPS or UPS has issues on their sites your shopping cart cannot load for awhile if there are delays on the quotes ... example: if USPS is delayed on a 30 second delay from some issue, an Add to Cart will hang for 30 seconds ...

Or, turn the button off or customize the template that if the cart is Virtual (Virtual "test" includes downloads) then don't show the button ... only show the button if there will be real shipping ...
