Must I Be Online to Run a Copy of Zen Cart?

I am using windows XP on a laptop. I also have zencart set up on a desktop using XP.
Can I set up a store on the laptop from a CD and then run it without going online with the laptop to do things on it? I go to another place where there is no Internet to use and I would like to adjust and learn ZC while I am there.

Oops! It is not set up on the laptop yet.

I found the answer to my question. I could not get the browser to open as it had not been set up. I do not have an internet connection with the laptop so I just chose the suggested setup.
I had already put www.example.com in the computer as the home page so it would open it when there was no connection.
I then followed the instructions in the book to setup the local site.
When I tried to open it I got the home screen right away.
