First Customer

Ah my first customer used my store. I sold something online, that was cool. I have no clue what was sold I am using Paypal IPN in debug mode. I got the debug messages in my email and through them am sure it was a credit card, the money is in my account. for the quantity in the debug message it says 1 but also in item number it says 1, where the ID #1 in my zen is the catagory ID he would have been in, but not the item #. I have it set to email me for new accounts, which it did, and copy of Order Confirmation, which it didn't. Under Customers in Orders it says 0 and under Report for Products purchased it says 0, any help is really appreciated, thanks.

Did this problem occur when you were testing your site or just since you went live?

I never did a complete transaction for testing, all the way till "Confirm Payment", cancelled out and got brought back to my store. I emailed customer and found out it was 3 items and checked, stock hasn't been changed and they said they got a confirmation email I didn't. I just found one problem, forgot a "t" in the email address for "Copy of Order Confirmation", ok explains why didn't get that.

I contacted the customer, a friend and found out there was 3 items sold. They received an email for there account and a order confirmation so I know now the typing error stopped me from getting my copy of the order confirmation. The confirmation the customer got showed all three items and they said they were brought back to my store after paying and also that there cart was empty when they returned. It seems everything worked perfect except zen cart making a record of the sale or deducting the stock from inventory, any ideas where I should be checking? In admin I do have it set to control stock, thanks.

Post all of your settings in admin config > stock

Have you looked in admin > customers > orders ??

So basically you do not know that your install ever worked...

no kobra I didn't know I should be doubting the install, if anything I thought maybe my modifications have done something. Like I said, first customer, and everything except stock went as planned, and I figured, there is no test like a sale.

I would put up another install with a new DB and in another folder.

You really need a full functioning shop

I have done just that, newest zen, side by side but I didn't do a new database, thats alot of info, I've done backups, and I can't figure anything that would be stored in database that I can't edit through admin or in files. Whats really got me is the cleared shopping cart and detailed order confirm, means it new the info at sometime. Think I'll talk someone into trying, with the new install and cross my fingers. Is there a way to do a "dry" run. I played in the sandbox thing at paypal and got checkmarks but either I don't know if I did it right, thanks for the replies anyways.
