    Default I goofed, now the storefront page is empty

    OK, so I goofed, and now my storefront page is empty. I am using Zencart 1.3.8a with the Rustic template, and Image Handler. I had all of this working well together. I edited my product descriptions. When I went to look at the storefront, I had a blank page.

    I reviewed the forums, and someone mentioned that double quotes in a description can cause this behavior. I went back in and deleted them, but still an utterly empty index page.

    Any thoughts?

    I have done the debug tool, however it is not actually writing a debug file. I do have the cache set to writable.

    I created the folder store/includes/local and added the configure.php for strict reporting. Still nothing. I am contemplating adding the strict reporting true to the index.php file, since I had to create that '/local' folder.

    I will keep poking around.

    OK, I tried adding the "strict_reporting_true" to the index.php file, since its the ONLY file I know is actually being called. Still nothing. And the debug tool still has not generated a output file.

    Unless anyone has a better suggestion, I think my best option is to delete the store, and the mysql data, and rebuild from scratch.

    Have you made any changes to includes/languages/english/YOUR_TEMPLATE/meta_tags.php?

    Yes, I did, but well after the store disappeared. Here is what I did:

    Code:
    define('TITLE', 'B4 Boots');

    // Site Tagline
    define('SITE_TAGLINE', 'Equine Hoof Boots - Made in the USA');

    // Custom Keywords
    define('CUSTOM_KEYWORDS', 'equine, donkey, mule, shop, hoof, boot, online shopping');

    // Home Page Only:
      define('HOME_PAGE_META_DESCRIPTION', 'B4 Boots online storefront');
      define('HOME_PAGE_META_KEYWORDS', 'equine, donkey, mule, shop, hoof, boot, online shopping');

    The reason I asked is because if I try to view the source on the page, all I see is:

    Code:
    <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN">
    <HTML><HEAD>
    <META content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1" http-equiv=Content-Type></HEAD>
    <BODY></BODY></HTML>
    If I do the same for one of my sites, I get much more. This is just part of the source:

    Code:
    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
    <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" dir="ltr" lang="en">
    <head>
    <title>The Fan Odyssey Store</title>
    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1" />
    <meta name="keywords" content="Event shirts Photos Photo CDs ecommerce, open source, shop, online shopping " />
    <meta name="description" content="The Fan Odyssey Store : - Event shirts Photos Photo CDs ecommerce, open source, shop, online shopping" />
    Since the page title isn't in the source, I asked about meta_tags.php because that's where it should come from.

    I don't even get that much when I view source in firefox, I do get that in IE. I normally work in firefox, for the web editing and error validation tools.

    I'll keep looking for awhile, but I am still am contemplating a delete and re-start. I can't find a valid reason for it disappearing, as I hadn't changed any PHP files when the site disappeared.

    I can get nothing on the store side, yet everything is fine on the admin side. I started doing a directory by directory comparison of a fresh 1.3.8a install set and my store. After sleeping on it, I bet I mis-copied something somewhere.
