Why are my images disappearing?

I've had that problem on a couple of my sites too. But for me, images disappear when I delete categories. Been on 3 hosts in 18 months and it's happened on all of them.

Basically, when I re-arrange my products and upload into new categories then delete the old ones, those product images vanish. I have to re-upload. I know zen isn't supposed to work that way, and I tested it on someone else's site last year when I was trying to figure it out (didn't happen there), but it still happens to me. It's the oddest thing.

Well, I haven't deleted any categories. But I have "Duplicated" products, and "Linked" products. Maybe this has something to do with it.

My images stopped disappearing, but it's been so long now, I forget what I may have changed. Sorry, I couldn't be of more help.
