Vertical product box

Hi all,

For the presentation of the products, I would like to have vertical boxes with the image up and the description below, instead of having it all horizontally. How can I do that?

You would need to edit the file includes/templates/YOUR TEMPLATE/templates/tpl_product_info_display.php

This file is very well commented and by arranging "blocks" of code you can achieve the order / layout you desire. Of course, you may need to change a bit of your css as well, but the tpl_product_info_display file is the place to start.

If it didn't change anything, your edits are probably not getting to where they will be used. You may be saving the file to the wrong place, or the file upload may not be working.

It's not a problem of file upload. I triple checked. This is what my tpl_product_display contents: I've tried to move the "main product image" block down at the end (after <!--eof also purchased products module-->) for example, and it didn't change anything..

What is the exact filepath you uploaded to, starting with /includes/?
What is your template foldername?

If the file uploaded correctly, then you have it in the wrong folder.

Also, when you move a block, move the bof and eof comments along with it so the elements are understandable.

the path is includes/templates/12541/templates/tpl_product_info_display.php

In fact I can't upload it in the wrong folder since I dont' upload files, I work on them through my files manager, so I change them and just "save" them..

I think I did move the block together with bof and eof, indeed.

So I don't understand what's wrong.

The product name in the file you posted has been moved without its comments. This does not affect function, only human comprehension of the current layout.

Does this mean your hosting server's file manager? It is not recommended to edit PHP files that way, as they can be corrupted (I don't know exactly what happens to them). You should really download and edit on your home computer, then FTP to your server.
