    Default time to finish upgrade

ok been worrking on the upgrade to 1.3.9e
i installed a demo site under www/demo/zencart with the demo products and new database. i applied all my overrides onto it and worked on it live, added stock by attributes and that was that. now its ready to be my real site

    questions

    1. my understanding of the upgrade is that i will need to copy this NEW website to a new directory and upgrade the database(from a copy of live one into new one), ie not install it??? i read the upgrade notes lots of times
does the products move with the upgrade into the new site? im nott really sure

    2. a few modules look interesting/useful. when would be the best time to try them?

    thanks

Do the DB import now and also insure that your images are copied to the new install

Now would be best after you import the DB - - - if this then takes time of hours to days
Just place your site down for maintenance when ready - -
re-import the live DB to capture the activity BUT omit the configuration table from this last backup

The configuration table will contain references to the added modules

ok now i have a problem when trying to go to site

    1146 Table 'qssuppl1_2010.configuration' doesn't exist
    in:
[select configuration_key as cfgkey, configuration_value as cfgvalue from configuration]

    and admin section says

    1146 Table 'qssuppl1_2010.project_version' doesn't exist
    in:
    [select * from project_version WHERE project_version_key = 'Zen-Cart Database' ]
If you were entering information, press the BACK button in your browser and re-check the information you had entered to be sure you left no blank fields.

i used the phpmyadmin to load up the live database into the new one
    whats wrong?

Use phpmyadmin to view that those tables exist and are not empty

In phpmyadmin there should be a column next to the table with bytes
