Default One of my sites is running v1.3.9-RC1p1!!

Currently one of my sites is running 1.3.9-RC1p1, which is exactly what it says in the admin.

As far as I know this was the 1.3.9 beta version when it first came out for testing in early April! Is it safe to move on to 1.3.9b-f from this beta version? Or should I replace this beta version with the 1.3.9a files first before moving on to b, c, d, e, f? Is the 1.3.9-RC1p1 the same as 1.3.9a? What should I do?

No benefit in going via 1.3.9a. Go straight to 1.3.9f.

Ok I will go straight to 1.3.9f, but is 1.3.9-RC1p1 equivalent to 1.3.9a?

No it's not. It's showing that because you've got leftover remnants of 1.3.8ap1 still on your site.

Ok, I just deleted the leftover remains of 1.3.8ap1, and in admin it got updated to read 1.3.9-RC1. Is this equivalent to 1.3.9a?

No. RC1 was a beta ... and was never supposed to be installed on live sites!

Ok what is the best thing to do at this point? Is it safe to just update to 1.3.9f from the RC1? I still have to replace all the RC1 files to the changelog files in 1.3.9a correct?

Yes. You need to do a full upgrade.
