    Default HELP!! IPN stopped working on site!! (Yahoo hosting)

    My site has been working fine for the last 2 years!


    Over the last 2 days my IPN stopped working on site!!
    Can someone please give me sugestions on how to fix this.
    I talked to PayPal and they said that the notification going to the site was working. That there had to be something in the code on my site that has stopped working correctly.

    Should I try reinstalling the PayPal mod ??

    Please help me.

    What version of Zen Cart? Has your host made changes to your server?
    Please do not PM for support issues: a private solution doesn't benefit the community.

    It is ZenCart PHP Version 4.3.11
    and I don't think that yahoo had made any changes.

    It's like I get half of my IPN are working and half not.
    When I go into PayPal and tell it to send it again, back to the site.
    sometimes it works and the order will pop up.
    Then sometime nothing at all happens.

    Do you think that reinstalling the PayPal mod would work?
    do you think it would be a good idea? or a bad idea?

    Should I try doing a repair on the data base?
    Could that help at all?

    PHP version 4.3.11 is ANCIENT. And is no longer supported by the author.

    And you've still not mentioned what Zen Cart version you're using. But it sounds like it's time to upgrade since your version is probably no longer officially supported.
    Plus, upgrading to the latest Zen Cart will let you change from the less-reliable IPN method over to the much more reliable Express Checkout method, allowing you to not lose orders due to technical glitches between PayPal's servers and yours.

    So sorry I coppied the Version from the wrong spot !! that was the PHP version thing!!
    It's Zen Cart 1.3.8a
    Database Patch Level: 1.3.8

    I have done the update within the last couple of months.
    the Express Checkout method does show up on my Payment Modules.

    I hadn't pick that method because I wasn't sure how to/ or what to do about the cURL.

    Should I go and try to set that up and maybe it would work better?
    It's been working fine till just recently!

    I have the Ebook for Zen Cart that I got when I first started using Zen.
    When I looked up Express Check out for PayPal, it says "For more info on the payment module, turn to the PayPal Express Checkout sub-forum on Zen Cart's site.

    I've looked for that, and can't find it.
    Can someone send me a link to that info!

    It's driving me nuts, every customer that is ordering, I have to email and explain that it's not working correctly.

    The latest version of Zen Cart is v1.3.9h, as of today. Yours is 3 years old.

    Honestly, I suspect you'll run into problems upgrading on Yahoo. Esp with a very old PHP version.

    Your present problems are likely a Yahoo thing too. Hard to tell for certain. There are many things you can do to sort out IPN-related problems. The list is here: http://www.zen-cart.com/wiki/index.php/PayPal

    At the very least, click "Remove" on your PayPal-IPN module, and click "Install" on your Express Checkout module, and configure it as per the instructions I gave earlier.

    I did this

    did a trial order from another email address and got this back in my email from PayPal.

    - (6) Couldn't resolve host 'api-3t.paypal.com'

    But the order and payment did go through.
