white, "text" screen after install

hi Folks,

I've gone thru the entire install process (successfully) & uploaded a couple of templates.

All I get on the home page of my store, is a blank white page with simple text & html links, but no colors or template theme visible. I've tried changing the theme a couple of times, but no luck.

thanks Canopy, for your suggestion, but no luck.

I tried editing the AllowOverride directive, from "All" to "Limit", in the HTTPD.CONF file, as suggested. No change. Then I renamed both HTACCESS files as suggested, but no luck with that either.

All other PHP apps, like WordPress, PHPBB, Phplist, and on and on, work just fine on this server. Seems like I may be stuck with OsCommerce, too bad.

Check the following code in your /includes/configure.php file and make sure it contains a "http" instead of a "https".

  define('HTTP_SERVER', 'http://horsepowerherbs.com'); 

If the above code is correct and re-loading your site and clearing your browser cache still does not work, then post the contents of your /includes/configure.php file here. Exclude any sensitive information like usernames or passwords.

thanks canopy, much appreciated! looks like I had mistakenly entered pathways in the HTTPS variables ...
all is good now...
