I have created a pc configurator for our website... it is written in php/Mysql. It is not integrated with zencart (yet ) but if you are interested, here is a link to it. http://powerpcbuilder.com
how can i get it?
Hey justinanderson007,
Are you willing to share this code?
I cannot really share the code for this, as I wrote the application over a 2 month period for my employer (a computer manufacturer). And they don't want to give it away.
However, we have discussed offering the script for sale.
In your opinion, what would you think a script like this is worth?
My boss obviously thought it was worth over $6000, because that's what he paid to have it written.
Yes, I should have posted this in the Commercial Help Wanted forum. But they are too unfrequented with too many Zero Replies.
Slightly off topic clarification - Replies are NOT allowed in the Commercial help wanted all contact with the poster must be made privately.

Well, let me give you an idea of how much it's worth. In your opinion, what would you think a script like this is worth?
A GPL program is worth more than you could possibly pay. It is been estimated that there are 23 person YEARS in the programming of Zen Cart. Pretty amazing eh?
Now that being said I suggest that you read the GPL license since it covers your custom code whether you know it or not. While you could try to hold folks up for big bucks, the person that buys GPL code has the right to release it for free.
Now in the spirit of Zen Cart I would suggest that you talk to your boss about releasing the code to the community in exchange for being able to use Zen Cart without any fees.
