It is possible to embed flash into various sections of your site.

As a starting point, the HTML required to add a flash object is:

<object type="application/x-shockwave-flash" data="includes/templates/XXX/UUU/ZZZ.swf" width="100%" height="100">
<param name="movie" value="includes/templates/XXX/UUU/ZZZ.swf" />
<param name="quality" value="high"><param name="BGCOLOR" value="#000000">
<param name="menu" value="false">
</object>

In this example, you would place your flash SWF file at this path:

  • includes/templates/XXX/UUU/ZZZ.swf

where XXX is your template-folder name

and UUU is a folder to contain your flash content (could be images or maybe multimedia)

and ZZZ.swf is the name of your flash swf file.

Here are some additional discussions regarding implementing Flash in various parts of a Zen Cart™ site:

If your flash file is simply an audio file with a player, be sure to put both the audio and the player in the root directory of your store. Then you can use a modified form of the html above, i.e.:

<object type="application/x-shockwave-flash" data="audio_controller.swf" width="40%" height="80">
<param name="movie" value="audio_controller.swf" />
<param name="quality" value="high"><param name="BGCOLOR" value="#000000">
<param name="menu" value="false">
</object>

where both audio_controller.swf and the file it plays are in your root directory.
