NOTE: The COWOA version for Zen Cart version 1.5.x is NOT backwards compatible (won't work with v1.3.x versions of Zen Cart) This mod lets your customer checkout without having to register an account on your store. It comes with a couple of additional (optional) modifications that let you see who used COWOA to checkout with and let's those customers who used COWOA to still be able to track the Order Status of their order by using the e-mail name they used during checkout and the OrderID number. Originally written by KGZotU (Joe Schilz)back in February 2007 and has been modified a few times by others. The additional mods authors are listed in their updated by text file. |

- Drop support for Zen Cart v1.3.9 (use COWOA v2.3 if you are still running Zen Cart v1.3.9) - Add missing semi colon on line 19 of the time_out.php - Refining and improve the on-screen text and error messages for this module. (Many of them are a little awkwardly worded or inconsistent) - Create a distinct COWOA duplicate e-mail error messages. (in prior versions of COWOA the Standard and COWOA flows shared the SAME duplicate e-mail error message which is confusing and incorrect) - New admin switch to turn off sideboxes during the checkout (Many of the larger e-commerce retailers turn off "distractions" during their checkout processes for the same reason - i.e. Amazon. By reducing customer distractions during checkout you can help to decrease cart abandonment, and to increase sales conversions.) - Corrected the text in the standard flow to reflect that there are FOUR steps not THREE. (in prior versions the confirmation step is counted in the COWOA flow, but not in the standard flow) - The final confirmation step in BOTH flows and the billing step of the COWOA flow are missing the heading "Step # or #". - On the payment page the customer is prompted "to confirm your order". Step 4 is actually the REVIEW before confirmation order step. - Change to the PayPal Express text to make it clear that no PayPal account is required to use PayPal. |

Updated and changed a few directory names between v2.2 and 2.3 to keep the directory structure more organized. Updated the files list to show all core files that are use for Cowoa. There were a few files not listed in the Install Text. Deleted a file that shouldn't have been use in the first place. Admin_Folder/includes/extra_datafiles/Cowoa.php Updated the Install Text to a new and improve Install Text. Look in the _docs folder for how to install Cowoa. |

Contribution: Integrated Checkout Without Account Version 2.2 ------- This will run on zen cart 1.5.0 or zen cart v1.5.1. Updated the COWOA_Full_Install.sql which was given some people problems installing. Thanks to Diva for correcting this. Fixed and fixed a typo. Legitiment vs Legitimate in /includes/languages/english/YOURTEMPLATE/no_account.php. Thanks to Limitless. Fixed the force logoff of a COWOA customer after a purchase. Customers could hit the My Account and go to My Account info. Fixed the force logoff of a COWOA customer checking there order status from there email Confirmation. Customers could hit the My Account and go to My Account info. When you hit the 'Login' button, or My Account it showed 'My Account info'. This has been fixed. |
