For those of you who are having problems installing this module on zen cart v1.5.0 Updated the file structure so now you can tell which version you want to install v1.3.9, v1.5.0. Fixed the googleanalytics-INSTALL.sql, googleanalytics-UNINSTALL.sql and the UPGRADE-toversion-1-2-4.sql. Added a define to admin/includes/extra_datafile /google_analytics_database_names.php so it would be compatible with zen cart v1.5.0. It will now show under the admin/configuration menu. |

1.2.5 works on all version of zen cart including (not limited to 1.5.x) New items in 1.2.5: 1) NEW ADDITION: Now provides the ability to track Page Load Time per Google Analytics new features. 2) BUGFIX: Fixed bug in previous version(s) that would sometimes cause the ecommerce tracking values to miss record a transaction if it included certain characters in the name, attributes, etc.. 3) CHANGE: The new version now uses more overrides to make it even more friendly. In the previous 1.2.4 version you had to make alterations to the html_header.php file to accommodate some new changes. The new version 1.2.5 eliminates the need to do this by using the js override functionality in zen cart. For those who may have made this change in the past, you'll need to read the upgrade instructions to make sure you REMOVE those additions to the html_header.php file. |

Bug fix release. 1) Corrects issues with images not being shown on the image popups. For those with the 1.2.3 version installed, all you have to do is make one alteration to the html_header.php file to remedy the previous issue. What you are going to do is to open the "README_UPGRADE_TO-1-2-4.txt file and copy the section of code from STEP 4 into the location (replacing the current code) of the previous code in the html_header.php file. This contribution works with ALL Zen Cart version from 1.2.x up to and through 1.3.8 +. UPGRADING FROM PREVIOUS VERSION? See important info below. This release includes everything from the previous version PLUS now gives you the flexibility to choose between either the older "urchin.js" tracking code or the new "ga.js" tracking code. This is to address a problem that Google has acknowledged is on their end (a bug in the new ga.js tracking code) which causes the e-commerce tracking results to be off as well as the overall ecommerce conversion rate. Google says they will be issuing a fix for their bug sometime in early April 2008. However, until then, it may be wise to switch back to the older "urchin.js" tracking code (which has no bugs according to Google.) This contribution update makes it very easy for you to switch between the two tracking methods by simply "selecting a radio button" from within the Admin. =============================== NOTE TO UPGRADER'S OF PREVIOUS VERSION 1.2.1 or 1.2.0 =============================== If you already have Simple Google Analytics version 1.2.0 or 1.2.1 installed, then you should upload the appropriate file overwriting the current one you have (found in /includes/templates/your_template/google_analytics/google_analytics.php) and then apply the patch that is labeled "UPGRADE-FromVersion1-2-1_ONLY.sql" . Only thing that changed in this update is the two SQL install / upgrade files. Corrected an error that was being received if a user tried to install the contribution using the "upload" function from the Zen Cart SQL Query Admin. Nothing else has changed. If you have problems installing the previous version using the upload function, you can either download this new patched version of copy and paste the previous SQL into the Admin query run text box and run it. The scripts worked fine that way. |
