Snap Affiliates

Snap Affiliates is an open source affiliate module for Zen Cart. It's designed to be simple to use, familiar to Zen Cart store owners, and tightly integrated with the existing Zen Cart database. It features: * Integration with the Zen Cart customer and order databases. There are no separate databases or software to maintain. * Universal affiliate links. Affiliates can link anywhere into your Zen Cart store and still receive credit for sales; from the front page down to individual items. * Direct administrator control over affiliate participation. Affiliates must apply to the program, be accepted by the administrator, and can be suspended at any time. * Email notification of important events, for both affiliates and the affiliate administrator. This includes payment notification, participation requests, and account suspension. * Display of detailed order history, for both the affiliate and the administrator. * Variable commission rates. I have modified a few things to make this work better with 1.3.9h and to address the issue of including some links in pertinent places for your affiliates. I have expanded the instructions for easier installation I have added a page to the information sidebox called get paid so you can describe your program easily within the defines editor pages. I have changed a few files to add links to the marketing tools,signup page, and main referrers page These links can be found on the my account page within Zencart(logical since this pertains to their account) I did a work around on the includes/templates/yourtemplate/templates/tpl_referrer_tools_default.php file so that instead of only being able to show one banner image of each size, you can show 2 banners of each size. One in the JPG format and One In GIF Format (Theoretically you could do more but I only saw that only having 2 of each size available was sufficient) Install the mod by simply dropping in the files following the folder structure, making sure you use a comparison tool to merge any template specific files and save any other modifications to these files you have installed Then run the sql install through your admin by uploading it from the utility provided Make sure to donate to the zen cart team for making this possible and leaving this wide open by going here www.zen-cart.com/donate |

This file is an update to SnapAffiliates 1.0.2. If you are using Snap Affiliates 1.0, you should update to this version. Once installed you will need to point to two files: For Affiliate signup - /index.php?main_page=referrer_signup For Affiliate console - /index.php?main_page=referrer_main To set the default rate and affiliate ID prefix, be sure to edit the file /includes/snapconfigure.php Further instructions are inside.
