Events Calendar

This add-on essentially provides a form of DIY or in-house marketing, whereby store-owners can setup and promote simple events together with products from within their store. In certain situations, events could themselves become products (eg tickets), or be used to generate additional products (eg "I was There" merchandise). The usefulness of this add-on is limited only by your imagination. However, this add-on does not provide for extensive event management, as may be required for multi-staged events or customer relations. Customers are initially introduced to events through a monthly calendar displayed in a sidebox, that also contains links to view other events in other time frames, all of which ultimately drill down to your products. By creating interesting events, customers are given extra incentive to buy your products and further reason to remember your store. Completely reworked for Zen Cart 1.50+. Many fixes and improvements reported in forum until 13 May 2013, including: Admin no editing of core files required, except for optional files configuration options added to alleviate in-file edits event image link written to db event image re-sizing options upon upload or post-upload provision to create recurring events Catalog when a particular calendar date has only one event, clicking that date in calendar goes straight to the event "start day of week" in calendar can now be set to any day of week sidebox calendar and dropdowns selections are preserved until re-selected and much more. |
