Zen Auctions is a product type which allows you to create products which do not have a fixed price, but can be bid upon by your customers. Each Auction Product can have a reserve price, a buy it now price, a start price, a minimum bid increase and an auction expiry date. Using the Auction approach can be a fun way to promote sales. |

Zen Auctions is a product type which allows you to create products which do not have a fixed price, but can be bid upon by your customers. Zen Cart Product Type Auction, is a light weight auction designed as a fun way to promote sales. Fundamentally this is a product type which allows you to create product auctions. The products do not have a fixed price and can be bidded on by your customers. Each Auction Product can have a reserve price, a buy it now price, a start price, a minimum bid increase and an auction expiry date. Bug Fixes / Improvements Fixed bug: Auctions manager, wrongly defined filenames. Fixed bug: Removed uneeded echo which was causing template issues. Fixed bug: Bids below £1 were not displaying. Fixed bug: All emails will now have the auction product in the subject instead of %S. Fixed bug: Cron issues, please read the documentation for usage. Fixed bug: Fixed SSL "Warning information is sent over insecure network" firefox when bidding. Fixed big bug: On previous versions if a customer bids say £10 and sits watching the auction, someone else then bids £12, the customer whos watching the auction then refresh's the page and the lower bid is taken and overrides the higher bid. Now there is a random md5 number (form secret) that is generated and checked against the header when bids are placed. Fixed big bug: Lost auction emails were being sent to customers who didn't bid but bidded on another item. Update: Added image thumbnail creation for auction manager. Major improvement to load time and image quality. Update: Added auction hammer animation when placing a bid. (you can change back to the old processing image by changing hammer.gif to pleasewait_2.gif in tpl_product_auction_info_display.php in /includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/templates). Update: Links in emails will display the product name instead of a long link. Update: Added extra text to lost auctions with a discount code for the losers. This can doesn't have to be used and can be easily removed from the email template. (Discount code AUC-10 will need to be actived in the admin for lost emails and AUC-11 for reserve not met emails). Update: Added spacing in auction configuration. Credits The idea for the auction module started out a long ago. More then just a maintenance update. Added new fetchers, fix some bugs, added new clean Install instructions, with design tips. Fix the sql install and update files. Upgraded all files to match ZenCart 1.3.9d this should work on 1.3.8a - 1.3.9d and php5.3, not fully tested on php5.3 system yet. See the readme for all the updates. |

This is just a maintenance update. -fixed the additional image problem so it works with the standard Zen Cart design. -cleaned up some coding errors. -added the CEON SEO edits, un-comment to use. -added metatags for the product auction layout, was missing on past versions. Tested on a clean install of ZenCart 1.3.8a not tested on older version. |

Quick update to 0.99a, please test before going live! Still a work in progress. Change log #################### Bug Fixes -update product page to work on Nifty Corners layout -Fixed end of auction email logic for sending won, lost emails. -Fixed a bug in the extra image pop-up to allow for fuel slimbox to work. -Removed tax calculation during product creation. zen Auction 0.95 logfile: This is in fact the stable zen auction tested on zen 1.3.7 in comparing to v0.94 there are not fundamental changes, but some buggs are solved after collection of all threads untill now. There are still some bugs or improvements necessary and we hope the others try to participate in ameliorating this fantastic module. as I explained before, I didn't write the codes but spent many many days to find the bugs in all it's files, and finally found in threats etc. so, my special thanks to the people of managing IT, and the others who participated in forum. I don't now if I can name it v0.95, but I did it for distinguishing between corrected (fixed versions) than old one. reza M.M. |
