Admin Profiles

Admin Profiles is a user access control system for the Admin part of your site, allowing you to turn menus on and off and grant or disable access to specific Admin functions for each user. There is a support thread in the Community Contributed Add-Ons _ Miscellaneous section. NOTE THAT THIS FUNCTIONALITY IS BUILT IN TO 1.5.x. |

This minor revision makes Admin Profiles compatible with the recently-released Zen Cart security patch for admin. It will work with or without that patch and is therefore recommended. For new installations the install sql has been upgraded slightly to make it easier to assign all privileges to a user with an admin ID other than 1. |

A fairly minor release to: - incorporate corrections to box files built into Zen Cart 1.3.8a. - add a proper "page denied" page - ensure that the Admin password forgotten function works for everybody - slim down and make minor corrections to the installation instructions - remove user tracking extras (just one example of a 3rd party add-on needing box file changes and causing confusion) If you're already running Admin Profiles 1.0.6 on Zen Cart 1.3.8 without problems, I wouldn't bother upgrading! |

This update improves compatibility with Zen Cart 1.3.5 and includes pre-patched versions of the two core files that would would need re-patching after an upgrade to 1.3.5. Some addition clarification has been added to the installation instructions. There is no new functionality in this version. Although upgraded for compatibility with 1.3.5 it should also play nicely with any 1.3+ installation. A minor update to address compatibility issues with the User Tracking mod. For the User Tracking mod, use the specialized _dhtml file in the "extras" folder of this ZIP, and run the enclosed .SQL via your preferred method. The only file "updated" from v1.0.3 was the functions/admin_profiles.php file. Technical change: added support for an extra parameter to be passed from the _dhtml files when using configuration groups as menu options. |
