A simple but effective sidebox module that displays recently viewed items. Control of this side box is via the Admin panel as normal. Under Configuration->Maximum Values, you can now set the limit for the number of recent products you can view. It is set to 5 by default. Finally, under Tools->Layout Boxes Controller, select the recently_viewed box, and turn the sidebox option to YES, and set a sort order of around 10 to be placed fairly close to the top of the column |

A simple but effective sidebox module that displays recently viewed items. Also included is an optional installation file to display recently viewed items in a centerbox. Ultimately, you can choose to display your recently viewed items in a sidebox (default), a centerbox (optional), or both (optional). Inadvertently included the old includes/modules/recent_products.php file in the v2.0 fileset, resulting in numerous syntax errors. Version 2.1 sees the replacement of the old file with the updated version which fixes all the syntax errors. |

Updated for Zen Cart v1.5.0 Added tpl_product_info_display.php because it was missing from previous version. Fixed Centerbox issue (centerbox would not display) by adding includes/extra_datafile/recent_products.php & fixing dozens of syntax errors in modules/recent_products.php Cleaned up the folder/file structure in the download package to bring it up to date with current standards. Clarified the installation instructions. Cleaned up the readme file and brought it up to date. |

A simple sidebox module that displays recently viewed products. The no. of products to be displayed can be controlled via Admin->Configuration->Maximum Values This module is checked with v1.3.7 and v1.3.8. ===================================================== To install this module - Copy includes folder to the root of your site i.e. where you can see index.php file. - run install.sql file from admin _ Tools _ Install SQL Patches**. - You can change the number of recently viewed products from admin _ Configuration _ Maximum Values, select “Recently Viewed Sidebox Maximum” and change the value to desired number. If this value is set to 0 or left blank will display 10 items maximum. *You can still install this module without running the SQL. Running the SQL will allow you to change the number of products to be displayed in the Recently Viewed sidebox from admin. If this SQL is not executed maximum 10 recently viewed products will be displayed. *If you wish to change the this max number without playing with database/SQL go to includes/modules/sideboxes/recent_products.php and change the number on line no. 19. All the files are new and no original/core files are overwritten or overridden. |
