Categories and sub-categories

Lets see if I am able to explain myself.
I've created a web with zencart. In this case I am using ZC as showroom. The products are shown in categories and subcategories; so you need to acces first a subcategorie to get list of its products. Each categorie and sub-categorie as its own picture, so when you get the final listing (in columns and files) a little image shows you in wich subcategorie you are. Obiusly the user can navigate the products in the sidebox, but to facilitate the navitation I would like to use the image of the subcategorie to get back to the main. Or if its possible, also shown in the product listing the image of the main categorie...

You could use the breadcrumbs feature to allow them to click back to their original position.

That also keeps them from getting lost.

It's in the admin ~ Configuration ~ Layout, I think.

I would like to use the effect of the Breadcums, but using the images of the categories.
By the way, it's possible to change the aspect of the Breadcum links using CSS?
