eMail notification for Customers Authorization Status = Pending
Hi All,
Here's my 1st post.
I've found the install and setup really easy and having spent sometime reading all the docs I could find (& buying Lesli Richardson's guide) things are going well :)
I'm now into some of the initial config issues. I have a store that will sell alcohol amongst many other things. I understand that it is not possible to make certain products subject to ages laws (is this correct?) so I have had to enable the "3= Customer May Browse and May see Prices but Must be Authorized to Buy".
Obviously I don’t want to delay anyone from spending with me so how do I enable an email telling me that I have a new customer? Or can I automate approval based on the date? (which after all is all I can do to validate age!)

I'd peek in all of those settings for the emails in the Configuration ... Emails ... and see if:

Send copy of Create Account Status
0= off 1= on

Send copy of Create Account emails to the following email addresses, in this format: Name 1 <email@address1>, Name 2 <email@address2>
turning those on and configuring a valid email would do the trick for you ... :smile:

1000s of switches, options and configuration combinations ... it might take a few to get them all committed to memory ... or is it we just get committed? :blink:
