gift certificate - redemption code invalid

Invalid Gift Certificate Redemption Code

I am testing the Gift Certificate process on my new webshop.

All going well, however, when I try and redeem a gift voucher as payment for a product, in the cart (As the recipient of the gift voucher and GV code by email, I go to store, make a purchse, to to checkout, etc etc....I fill in the gv code and amount (it shows the amount of the GV I received)- the system won't accept the gift voucher redemption code and responds with

Invalid GC Redmptn Code.

What am I missing here?

Once the GV redemption code has been claimed, you do not need it as now the balance is in your account ...

On the Payment page, checkout_payment, do you see the input box for how much of the GV balance to use?

Thank you for your reply. Yes I see the box for the amout available for the gift voucher in the payment area - I am checking through the process again in the morning with fresh and clear head.

I am having some strange balances occuring when deducting part payment with the gift vouchers, the total in the cart are incorrect, but I will work through it again in the morning.

I appreciate your prompt response, I would have replied earlier but have been away from my studio today.
