Zencart NOT sending my order details to Paypal
Please help anyone who has a clue about this problem.
Zencart 1.3.8a
Using Paypal IPN as the payment method.
Fitgirlwear.com
PROBLEM: Shopping, adding items to the cart and the checkout process all work fine, WITH ONE EXCEPTION. When the customer is transfered from Zencart to Paypal to make their payment, NONE OF THE ORDER INFORMATION IS BEING PUT THROUGH.
The only thing that is being sent in the merchant notification email, and the only thing that is showing up in Paypal is the persons name and how much they paid. NO STYLE NUMBER, NO ITEM NAME, NO SHIPPING ADDRESS, NO SIZE, NOTHING.
I've asked Paypal and they say it's not on their end. So the only thing left is that Zencart IS NOT sending the information to Paypal. But I see no option for that in the Admin.
Please help.... Thanks

Re: Zencart NOT sending order details to Paypal
I appreciate the response, but I DID search all the existing threads, and I did follow the steps on sheet. But I just did a test purchase, and still no details are coming to Paypal!!
So frustrating.
So... Anyone else got any ideas?
Re: Zencart NOT sending order details to Paypal
An add-on problem to this... It's not showing up in Zencart EITHER!!! WHAT THE HELL??? I went to Admin/customers/orders, and there's nothing there!!
So we are making sales, but neither Zencart nor Paypal has any details on what the hell we sold?!
This just gets stupider and stupider... lol
Re: Zencart NOT sending my order details to Paypal
The "PayPal IPN" module doesn't send exact line-item details to PayPal. If you want that, use Express Checkout.
The IPN module just sends the total purchase amount.
If your completed purchases which are paid by PayPal IPN are not showing up in your store, then the communications from PayPal's server to your server are not working properly. The link posted by steve above has numerous steps one can take to diagnose and troubleshoot that problem as it exists between you and PayPal.
Or, you could use Express Checkout, which uses a more advanced and up-to-date technology than the old IPN system and isn't dependent on all the potential limitations posed by having their server do its own communication to your server apart from the customer the way the IPN system is.
