Print button for Invoice and Packing Slip?
Zen Cart 1.3.8a (fully patched)
Browser: Firefox 3.5.5
In the Admin, is there supposed to be a Print button to print and Invoice and/or Packing Slip?
I can do a Browser File-Print, but it prints the admin URL at the top of page.
The only buttons I have when viewing orders are, Edit, Delete, Invoice and Packing Slip. Also, when I view a Invoice or Packing Slip there is no print button.
I've tested with the default template and alternate browser (IE 8.0) with same results.
If this is by design and you have to do a File-Print, I would like to know what others do when they print to remove the admin URL from displaying at the top.
Thanks.
Re: Print button for Invoice and Packing Slip?
And yes, I am aware you can edit the browser header to remove the URL from printing, but I like that option for other web activities. Of course, if there isn't any other option I'll deal with it.
Thanks again for any info.
Re: Print button for Invoice and Packing Slip?
You could always add the following to the file that creates the invoice and packing slip which will create a Print button for you:
<input type="submit" name="B1" value="Print" onclick="window.print()">
The only issue I see with that is that the button will also show on any printouts you do
Likewise, I'm not sure if it would remove the page hyperlink as that is a setting in your browser and the page will also be being viewed in your browser

An easy work around is to do a Prnit Preview in your browser and then do a "capture" with Snagit (or another window capture product) of the area you want to print.
P.S. I use Snagit all the time, but I have no affiliation with the company

I do a ctrl-A / Select all, COPY then PASTE into a WORD document, then print the WORD doc. WaaaLaaaa! no admin URL.
